The practice is based in Centurion.  Wilma van der Walt makes use of registered Occupational Therapists in her practice.

We execute thorough and objective assessments by using.WorkWell Systems Functional Capacity Evaluation

The attendance of court and pre-trial meetings forms part of the services offered, when required.

Our office is fully accessible to persons with mobility restrictions and wheelchairs.

Referral

• An attorney refers a claimant for an assessment
• Referral occurs via telephone, email or website to arrange a medico legal assessment
• We make appointments for claimants either telephonically or via email and confirm the date and time of the medico legal assessment in writing
• The referring attorney submits a letter of instruction to us that contains the purpose, date and time of the medico legal assessment
• The referring attorney sends the available documentation, including expert reports when available to us prior to the assessment date

Assessment process

• On the day of the assessment the claimant completes a form with their particulars, enumerating a list of complaints about their injuries
• Partakes in an interview
• Participates in physical examination, assessment consisting of a series of tests and exercises
• The assessment lasts on average three hours to complete
• We use an interpreter when claimants are not proficient in English
